so interesting - and i was really looking forward to this post after reading your earlier one. i have strong feminist leanings as well, and this "covering" concept has always bothered me - thank you for sharing your experience of it. i love how your daughter has never had a problem with seeing women in thie abeya or hijab - children are so very open
